*Reminder* Guest Speaker Nathan Tuttle Tonight! - 5:30PM, FAC Room 440

A reminder that guest architect Nathan Tuttle will speak tonight at 5:30PM in the Fine Arts Center, Room 440 (details below). There will be free pizza! Help us share this event, and bring your friends!

Nathan Tuttle is currently a Project Architect for the nationally recognized design firm JCJ Architecture in Hartford Connecticut. His recent career experience also includes positions with other top design firms in the northeast such as Tai Soo Kim Partners in Hartford, CT and Tappe Associates in Boston, MA. Nathan currently is an adjunct faculty member at Capitol Community College teaching architectural courses in building systems and drawing documentation. His passion as an instructor has led to mentoring roles within the nationally recognized ACE program for aspiring architects. Nathan graduated from Roger Williams University in Bristol Rhode Island, is a registered architect in Connecticut and Rhode Island and has earned LEED AP credential from the USGBC. Nathan’s professional experience largely includes the design and construction of both educational and hospitality projects, from Boston to New York. Other architectural design work has included public library's, civic buildings and private residential projects.
 
Nathan believes the future of the profession of architecture has a bright business future ahead. However, while we patiently wait for the bright business future to arrive, we must navigate the rough seas of our business today. How can the next generation of design professionals standout and create a sustainable, stable life long career in architecture?

AIAS Northeast Spring QUAD & Fundraising Meeting Tomorrow - 5:30PM, FAC Room 440

Hello Everyone!

We will meet tomorrow at 5:30pm in FAC 440 to finalize all travel and lodging arrangements for the upcoming Northeast Spring Quad Conference at MassArt (3/21-3/23). If you are going to the conference, it is important you attend this meeting.

For those attending the conference, please register online here. A reminder that registration is $65 for members, and $75 for non-members. The deadline for regular registration is this Friday, March 7th at midnight--please make sure to register before rates go up! All hotel and travel expenses will be covered by AIAS.

Have fundraising ideas? We need your help! Come brainstorm with us tomorrow night! Members are encouraged to get involved and serve on the AIAS Fundraising Committee. See you all tomorrow!

Last Call - RSVP for AIAS Northeast Spring QUAD Conference at MassArt!

Hi All,

Today is the last day to RSVP for the Northeast Spring Quad Conference! This year's conference will be hosted by the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, Friday March 21st - Saturday the 23rd. Please visit the official conference website here for detailed information regarding hotel, schedule, and other general info.

Registration will be $65 for members, and $75 for non-members. All hotel and travel expenses will be covered by AIAS. Please do not register online at this time--more details will follow.

We will be coordinating regional carpools, as this conference is held the last weekend of spring break. We will plan to arrive in Boston Thursday the 20th, and depart the conference for Amherst Sunday morning.

Please RSVP to this email by tonight if you plan on attending, and include your preferred departure location to help us coordinate travel arrangements

AIAS Portfolio Review Night Tonight! - 5:30pm, FAC Room 440

Hello Everyone!

Are you getting ready to apply for jobs, internships, or grad school? Some of our own professors have volunteered to come in and critique portfolios tonight!

Please be sure to bring in your work samples, and/or completed portfolio for peer and faculty critique. This is a great, rare opportunity to get a one on one, in-depth review--we cannot stress this enough!

Also, a friendly reminder that the deadline to RSVP for the Northeast Spring Quad Conference at MassArt, is this Saturday, 2/29.
